# My (California) East Tennessee Neighborhood?

True story. (circa 2021)

**Wife:** _"Honey, I think I found our home in Tennessee! It reminds me of my grandma's house!"_

**Me:** _(looking at the Zillow listing) "Where is this home located?"_

**Wife:** _"Knoxville, in a beautiful little neighborhood called 'Beverly Acres.' It's on Santa Monica Rd!"_

**Me:** _"Wait...what!?"_

**Wife:** _(with tears in her eyes) "It has the arched windows like my Grandma Anderson's house in Santa Monica \[CA\]. The other street names in the neighborhood are, Malibu Drive, Catalina Rd, Tahoe Lane, Angeles Drive."_

**Me:** _"I'm calling the real estate agent right now!"_

Two days later, we fly to TYS, meet with the real estate agent (owner of the home) and make an offer...done!

**Wife & I:** _"Kids, we're moving to Tennessee!"_
