Germantown, Mequon and Menomonee Falls are three of the most requested suburbs for buyers who want more space while staying close to Milwaukee. Each one has a different feel, and the right choice depends on your budget, commute and lifestyle.

## Germantown

Germantown offers a mix of newer subdivisions, established neighborhoods and condos, with quick access to Highway 41/45 for commuting into Milwaukee or out to Washington County. Buyers like the Germantown School District, the parks and trail system, and the small-town downtown. It is often a good fit for families and first-time buyers moving up from a starter home.

## Mequon

Mequon in Ozaukee County is known for larger lots, wooded settings and luxury homes, along with the Mequon-Thiensville School District and easy access to I-43 and Lake Michigan. Prices are typically higher, and many homes sit on an acre or more. It suits buyers who want privacy and a quieter, more rural feel within about 20 minutes of downtown.

## Menomonee Falls

Menomonee Falls is one of the larger villages in Waukesha County, with a wide range of ranches, Cape Cods, two-stories and newer construction. Its location near Highway 41/45 and Highway 74 makes commuting easy, and its shopping, dining and the Village Centre area give it a lot of convenience. It often offers more home for the money than Mequon.
