The newest is Regency at Waterset, a brand-new gated 55+ community that opened in 2026. It's resort-style living with over-the-top amenities and a full calendar of activities, and it sits outside the flood zone, so you get the social life without the flood worries. Del Webb Southshore Falls is a cozy gated community with a staffed gate, three heated pools including a lazy river, and more clubs than you can join. Its HOA covers lawn care and landscaping, so snowbirds can lock the door and go. If you want to keep a boat out back, Caribbean Isles is a resident-owned co-op with canals, a clubhouse and an activity coordinator. Small center consoles and pontoons fit best there because of the bridge. Each one has a very different feel, so tell me what a perfect week in retirement looks like to you.
