Tallahassee Fall Fun: October 2026 Events Guide

October is already more than half over, but the best of Tallahassee's fall is still ahead. If you live here, the final two weeks of the month are packed with food festivals, a farm day that runs through November, and free Halloween nights downtown — no travel required. Here are the events to circle before Halloween weekend.

    1. Aunt Louise's Fall Farm Days — weekends through Nov 15: corn maze, pumpkins, and farm animals.

    2. Zoobilee — Oct 23: a 21+ costume party at the Tallahassee Museum.

    3. Tallahassee Greek Food Festival — Oct 23–24: gyros, baklava, and dancing.

    4. Tallahassee Corner Market — Oct 24: 20 local small businesses, free.

    5. Halloween Family Fun Day at Goodwood — Oct 25: a free, family-friendly costume afternoon.

    6. Halloween Fest on the Plaza — Oct 30: trick-or-treating and pumpkin painting at the Tucker Center.

    7. Halloween Symphony Spooktacular — Oct 30: free trick-or-treating and a concert at the amphitheater.

    8. Terror of Tallahassee — Oct weekends: a locally famous haunted house.

To pick these, I kept only events still happening from today forward, weighed free or low-cost options against ticket events, and noted kid-friendly picks where they exist — dropping anything that required a long drive out of town or already passed.

    Key Takeaways

    • The last two weeks of October hold Tallahassee's best fall events
    • Aunt Louise's Fall Farm Days runs weekends through Nov 15 for the classic pumpkin patch
    • Free Halloween nights anchor Oct 30 — Halloween Fest on the Plaza and the Spooktacular
    • Mix of free family events and a few ticketed adult nights
    • The Greek Food Festival is the big food weekend of the month

    2. Zoobilee

For adults who want a Halloween party, Zoobilee returns Friday, October 23 from 7:00–10:00 PM at the Tallahassee Museum. The museum's signature costume party features live music, eats from top local restaurants, and a premium open bar — tickets include a full dinner and support the museum's education and conservation programs (Visit Tallahassee).

Best for: adults 21 and up. Costumes are encouraged, and this is a ticketed night out — the grown-up counterweight to the month's family events.

    3. Tallahassee Greek Food Festival

This is the big food weekend of the month. The Tallahassee Greek Food Festival runs October 23–24 from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. at the Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church on Phillips Road, celebrating four decades of the flavors, traditions, music, and spirit of Greece — gyros, baklava, beer, and dancing (Visit Tallahassee).

Best for: food lovers and anyone who enjoys a lively outdoor festival. It's a low-stress way to spend an afternoon or evening grazing your way through the offerings.

    6. Halloween Fest on the Plaza

On Thursday, October 30 from 5–7 p.m., the Tucker Civic Center turns into a family Halloween destination with Halloween Fest 2026, presented by Publix — trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, a costume contest, interactive games, and music (Tallahassee Democrat).

Best for: families who want an indoor, weatherproof Halloween night downtown. It's free, runs before bedtime, and gives you two Halloween options on the same evening.

    5. Tallahassee Corner Market

The Corner Market returns October 24 from 11 AM to 3 PM, hosting 20 unique, locally-based small businesses for FREE at 1968 West Tennessee Street — food, cottage kitchen treats, vintage finds, and handmade goods (Tallahassee Corner Market on Eventbrite).

Best for: shoppers chasing original art and one-of-a-kind finds. It's completely free to vendors and patrons, so it's a guilt-free way to spend an afternoon.

    7. Halloween Symphony Spooktacular

Cap the month with a free family Halloween party. On October 30, the Tallahassee Symphony hosts the Spooktacular at the Adderley Amphitheater — trick-or-treating starting at 6 PM, costumes, games, and a concert at 7:30 PM (Visit Tallahassee).

Best for: families. Costumes are the point, and the amphitheater setting in Cascades Park makes it a festive, safe way to kick off Halloween weekend without spending a dime.
