๐๐ Market commentary for Tuesday November 3, 2026.
Yesterdayโs Recap:
Yesterday was a fairly calm day for bonds, with the most notable improvement coming right as lenders were starting to set pricing, only for bonds to quickly give back some ground, leaving most rate sheets basically unchanged from the previous Friday. The movement we did see wasnโt enough to trigger much in the way of reprices, with mortgage bonds peaking in the early afternoon before drifting lower to finish slightly better than Fridayโs close.
Rate outlook for today...
Rate sheets today should be similar to yesterdayโs, with bonds down a few basis points after the JOLTS data came in stronger than expected, showing more open jobs than forecast. Bonds have been slowly improving since the beginning of October, and reprice risk on the day is low, as itโs not likely weโll see any big moves today that would put lenders in a position to reprice.
