Where Is the Best Steakhouse in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee? I Went Looking for the Garden!

By Will Cupp | Sevierville, Tennessee serving all of Sevier County and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Well, folks, another question for Will Cupp, your friendly Smoky Mountain Realtor, who apparently spends as much time at the dinner table as he does at the closing table.

And judging by my waistline, I may be better at one than the other. LOL.

This question comes from just about every family I've ever helped from out of town.

"Will, where can we get the best steak in the Smoky Mountains?"

Oh, my friends, now we're getting serious.

    Alamo Steakhouse!

    BAM!

Short answer. Article over. Everybody go home.

    Well, not quite.

I've enjoyed some mighty fine steaks throughout Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. And if you know somewhere better, invite me to dinner.

    Full disclosure, you're paying. LOL.

    But Alamo? Good gracious.

I sometimes wonder whether God Himself picked out the beef, sent a few angels down with the seasoning, and hired somebody who could work a grill like Tom Brady worked the Patriots' offense.

    That's serious talent, folks.

And the salads! So fresh I went behind the restaurant one evening looking for the garden.

    Couldn't find it.

    Still suspicious.

    And those homestyle fried potatoes?

    Oh, my holy goodness.

Good Lord, somebody call the law. They've got me sinning in there!

But let me introduce you to an old friend of mine.

    The Cowboy Ribeye.

We've been friends for years. He never complains, never argues, and always shows up looking mighty fine.

Unfortunately, our friendship never lasts very long once he reaches the table. LOL.

Now, there's another reason I appreciate Alamo.

The Johnson Family of Restaurants has a wonderful tradition of treating Sevier County residents to a birthday meal.

Let's see. There's me, the wife, two kids, my mother-in-law, and now the grandkids.

Folks, that's a lot of birthdays!

And a whole lot of generosity.

It's also given me plenty of opportunities to visit my old friend, the Cowboy Ribeye. He's big enough to share, too.

Not that I'm always willing. LOL.

But here's what really impresses me.

    The people.

I've spent over 30 years in real estate, including years in leadership, and one thing I've learned is that respect starts at the top.

You can feel it at Alamo. From the servers to management, people treat you like they're genuinely glad you're there.

I've never met the Johnson family personally. Nobody paid me to write this.

They simply earned my respect through service, quality, and the way they treat people.

And that, my friends, is worth more than any fancy advertisement.

Good food isn't always cheap, but compared with other steakhouses serving this quality of beef, I think Alamo offers excellent value.

So whether you're vacationing in Gatlinburg, visiting Pigeon Forge, or thinking about making Sevierville your home, put Alamo Steakhouse on your list.

And if you happen to order the Cowboy Ribeye, tell him Will sent you.

Just don't tell him how our friendship usually ends. LOL.
